Desperation

Had a massive headache towards evening time at work, texted my prayer partner and got her to pray against the migraine. Went off and played a few strokes of tennis for Inter-Accounting Firm Games. Contemplated excusing myself from cheering for the team but when the Executive Director, Managing Director and a few Partners of the firm showed up towards the end of the match, looks like I was meant to stay. "Unity," He whispered. It rained and the final match was put on hold. We resumed the match indoors. The victory of the last stroke was sweet and we beat the defending champions by straight sets.

It was almost 10.00pm. "Should I go?" I thought. The headache was slowing subsiding. I knew that someone must be praying for me. "Unity -- you are not excluded," He whispered. I bade my goodbyes to my mates and dashed off. Every traffic lights turned green as I passed, as if He was saying, "Make way!". 10.15pm, I arrived. 30 minutes of standing in unison with the church for the nation, is more than enough. Desperation. Just a glimpse of you, that's all I need. I am in this. I am part of the desperate people.

Currently lying on my bed with the laptop on my tummy streaming on 96Five fm. I miss K-Mart, Coles, QR, Fitness First, Sunnybank touhua, bubble tea, BOOST, Target, Brisbane River, La Dolce Vita, Hotmarket, Dollars and Sense, JACKPOT, considerate drivers, Two Wongs, Little Taipei, Winter, VALLEYGIRL....raah..raahh..raah...

The mind is my battlefield. Time for some strict training to stay tough.

Today's weather is awfully hot!! A scorching 35 degrees! Yeouch...It's cooking me up like the ikan-bakar (barbequed fish) I was craving for last night at Goodall cafe!! A friend came over to get some help with his resume just now. I feel a wee bit bad that I don't actually have air-con in the living room. Sorry, William! :S
I just realised that I'll be stopping by the Penang Airport 3 times in total in one day. Just dropped off Ming Han and friends this morning heading back to Kota Kinabalu, picked up daddy dearest at 3.30pm returning from Kota Kinabalu (yeah, coincidence eh??) and in a few hours time, picking up my uncle and aunty arriving from Kuantan to visit Mummy. I think I can drive my way to the airport with my eyes closed already!! HEHE..

Okay okay... yah, it's a mindless post on this lazy hot, hot, Sunday afternoon. I miss Brisbane weather!! Don't mind me....I think I'll just catch a nap now before going for a swim in the evening later.
